Carstairs Nature Space
We are in the process of developing the whole area in front of you into a “Natural Space” to experience nature in an urban setting. The site is approximately 19 acres.
The project is a collaboration between the Town of Carstairs and the Carstairs and District Agricultural Society. The Town of Carstairs has been working on the site for many years. The formal committee was formed in 2018. Development will carry on for several years as funds are raised and donations allow.
Most species of trees, shrubs, grasses and perennials will be native or have been naturalized to Central Alberta.
The Carstairs Nature Space thanks the Government of Alberta for supporting this project through the Community Facility Enhancement Program. This funding has allowed this project to grow!
